Who is the Delft Big Band?

The Delft Big Band was formed in 2008, when funds were made available from the Department of Social Development and COAST (Cape Outdoor Adventure Service and Training) for a cultural project to give the youth of Delft an alternative to the anti-social influences around them. Since then, they've performed extensively, including at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival in 2010 and 2015.

The band is musically directed by Zeke Le Grange and Dayna Pearce, and consists of a group of young musicians from Cape Town (mainly from Delft) on saxophone, trumpet, trombone, percussion, guitar, bass guitar, drums and vocals.

Their debut CD Now was recorded in 2015.
