Come and Enjoy a One Night Stand of Musical Fusion with 'Imbali' this Saturday!

In celebration of their 3 year musical repertoire, Imbali invites YOU to ‘The One Night Stand with Imbali #TONS4Funds’ on Saturday 25 th July at The Space (9B Wolraad Road, Maitland), a night which promises to bring sentimental sounds from ‘the musical greats’ of the past and present!   Born at UWC’s Gender Equity Unit, Imbali ’s musical presence is characterised by a unique taste of afro-fusion, jazz and soul. Since 2012, Imbali has been performing their own cover versions of popular hits such as ‘Ntyilo Ntyilo’   by Miriam Makeba, ‘Cry Smile Dance’ by Judith Sepuma and ‘My African Dream’ by Vicky Sampson . Their band has even stepped up to the next level with the songs ‘Imbali’ and ‘We Chase’ – two original tracks that form part of their impressive portfolio!       Since their birth, Imbali ’s earthy presence has graced the stages of various communities, such as the ‘ Difficult Conversation Series’ at UWC, the South African College of Music at UCT , My Earth

Taare Brings Bollywood Dance to the Cape District!

Taare is a Bollywood dance troupe based in Cape Town, who serves to preserve Indian arts and heritage through the promotion of dance, choreography and community enrichment.   Taare consists of 30 talented dancers, most of them who are all day-time students and working professionals. Their showcases range from solos to performances with 12 dancers on stage at a time. Since their birth, Taare ’s eloquent presence has graced various stages, such as the Arts and Culture Department in Cape Town, the South African Navy, South African Parliament, Baxter Dance Festivals (2012 – 2014), ‘Dancers love Dogs’ at the Artscape Opera House and the Cape Cultural Collective ‘Shades of Freedom’ celebration, amongst various other corporate and charitable events around Cape Town.   Two milestone events in the history of  Taare ’s journey also includes their first production called “Dance Through Bollywood” in April 2013, followed by their second one titled “Rhythm India” at the Artscape Th
